Description
Ravenel Bridge Charleston South Carolina Night Sky
The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge over the Cooper River in Charleston, South Carolina. The Ravenel Bridge is 2.7 miles long and features a pedestrian walkway the entire length. This sidewalk is separated from the road with a concrete barrier and therefore feels very safe and protected. The Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge is a stunning feat of engineering that connects Charleston, South Carolina, with Mount Pleasant. This cable-stayed bridge is a beautiful sight for anyone who visits or lives in this historic city. It has the third-longest main span of any cable-stayed bridge in the Western Hemisphere, measuring 1,546 feet. It also rises 573 feet above the ground and allows 187 feet of clearance for the Cooper River below. The bridge offers a magnificent view of the scenic landscape, making it a welcoming entrance for travelers
