Nowadays barns are painted red because of tradition, but hundreds of years ago farmers were simply trying to preserve the wood. At first, farmers were making their own preservatives from linseed oil and various fillers, including ferric oxide, better known as rust. Jordan Hill is a self-taught award winning wildlife and landscape photographer born and raised in Guntown, Mississippi. He first got into photography a few years ago while vacationing. Photography soon became his passion. He started selling his photographs in April of 2019. He has since had his work published inside and on the cover of Several magazines. His work has been featured all over the United States in various articles and blogs. Jordan lives in Guntown with his wife and his two lovely daughters.
